i. Salt & Bone

In the beginning, there were no gods—only silence.

Perfect and absolute.

Then came Death.

Furious, she split the sky with her screams and devoured the void with her fire. Stars bled. Storms thundered. She shattered the First World, and the Sons of Primaria fell with it. All who defied her—she marked for ruin.

Primus stood against her.

Where Death compelled, Primus liberated. Where Death consumed, Primus redeemed.

He gathered the fragments of creation and called the world Akaedia. He shaped the planet to His will, forging seas and raising mountains.

The Fallen Sons called Him Father, First of the Gods, Lord of Primaria and of Akaedia. They called Him Invictus—because Death never sleeps.

They rejoiced in the Veil of His Covenant. For Death waits still.

Bound in salt.

Chained in bone.
